Hi, I'm Jan Covyeau
Entering this field later in life provided me with invaluable personal experiences which have played a key part in helping to better understand my clients and many of the issues they face. I have found my education and experience to be most effective in working with individuals, adolescents and couples that are facing various issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma or relational difficulties.
I also enjoy working couples and families who are struggling in their relationships. I incorporate the practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a highly effective method for healing relationships. When working with clidents, we look at patterns in the relationship and take steps to create a more secure bond and develop more trust to move the relationship in a healthier, more positive direction.
I recognize it takes courage and vulnerability to sit with a perfect stranger and share details about your life, relationships and struggles. I am a firm believer in that there is no issue or setback that is too large to overcome. Therapy is a gift you give yourself. It can truly transform your life and provide you with the opportunity to become your best self.
Hi I'm Lisa Rezner
I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and achieved my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Hope International University. I am a registered associate marriage and family therapist who is passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families. My life experiences and educational training have paved the way for me to step into the world of therapy, and I thoroughly enjoy ministering to others in need.
Being married over 30 years and raising 4 children has taught me many life lessons about marriage and family. I work with couples who are trying to get their connection back when life’s challenges have taken their toll. I also strive to improve family relationships by helping parents to have a better understanding of the world children, teenagers and young adults live in today.
When working with couples and families I incorporate the practice of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a highly effective method for healing relationships. EFT is a relatively short-term form of therapy that focuses on adult relationships and attachment bonding. Research has shown that 70-75% of couples and families who participate in EFT become closer and more intimate in their relationships, and 90% show significant improvements (For more information on EFT, please click on this websites couples counseling tab under services).
It is so important that you connect with your therapist. Feeling accepted and comfortable will help you take the steps towards improving the areas of your life that you may be struggling with. I welcome you to call me to see if I would be the right fit for you.
Hi! I'm Jaclyn Yuki Schlanger
I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University Northridge. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and am of half Asian and half European American heritage. I was an art teacher for over a decade before making my transition into the world of therapy, and I have extensive experience working with people of all cultures and ages.
I specialize in self-esteem and identity work, while helping you reflect on the person that you truly are. By forming a stronger understanding of your personal values, likes, dislikes, and various personality aspects, you can strengthen your identity from within. This can help with depression and anxiety, as identity formation and understanding can be affected by many events that occur in your day to day life. I especially enjoy working with adolescents, teens, and young adults.
