Hello! I'm Jaclyn Yuki Schlanger
My name is Jaclyn Yuki Schlanger, and I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working for a private practice in Irvine, California.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and am of half Asian and half European American heritage.
Coming from a mixed race and cultural background has given me a personal understanding of growing up in America with varying identities and traditions, which has enabled me to be highly adept at working with clients of varied ethnic backgrounds and cultural climates.
I also have a passion for working with women who may seek guidance and a deeper understanding of their personal identity.
Hi, I'm Jan Covyeau
I am a Registered Associate with an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the College of Psychology and Counseling at Hope International University. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the corporate world over 25 years in the areas of education, sales, finance and most recently adoption. I discovered my passion for helping others in my role of Adoption Adviser in the emotionally charged adoption process. It is this passion and my own life challenges, healing and personal growth that served as the catalyst in my pursuit of becoming a therapist.
Entering this field later in life provided me with invaluable personal experiences which have played a key part in helping to better understand my clients and many of the issues they face. I have found my education and experience to be most effective in working with individuals, adolescents and couples that are facing various issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma or relational difficulties.
I recognize it takes courage and vulnerability to sit with a perfect stranger and share details about your life, relationships and struggles. I am a firm believer in that there is no issue or setback that is too large to overcome. Therapy is a gift you give yourself. It can truly transform your life and provide you with the opportunity to become your best self.
